i second that emotion. the MGMT album is very special. ladies and gentlemen, the (also brand-new) tumblr blog of ARMS drummer tlacael esparza.

Today a great album was officially released. It actually came out back in March (leak/theft) so many of you (my many readers!) have probably made up your mind one way or the other on this. I’m talking about the new MGMT album, Congratulations, of course. 

Its a not entirely surprising, psychy art rock followup to their decidedly more poppy debut. Although I was kind of confused and put off at first, after a few listens this album really grew on me and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it for the past week or so. Its great all the way through. 

I’ve posted the last 5 minutes of the 12 minute long Siberian Breaks. I think a lot of people didn’t bother with this one due to wimpyness, but its got some of my favorite moments of the album in it. The whole 12 minutes are totally worth it, but the last 5 minutes are what got me hooked.
