Band of Horses Cover Replacements - “Can’t Hardly Wait”
Prior to hearing this live take on the Replacements’ classic Pleased to Meet Me closing track, I couldn’t have imagined Ben Bridwell’s honey-coated voice taking on Paul Westerberg’s wonderfully craggy vocals, but now I can’t unhear how well they both hit you in the gut on the high notes. Performing as an almost-acoustic trio at Columbus, Ohio’s CD101 Big Room, watch Band of Horses kill “Can’t Hardly Wait” above (via Sun on the Sand).
